COACH TEAFF, BAYLOR ICON, MASTER COACH
Baylor continues to reap rewards from the character and career of Coach Teaff. Friends of Baylor is honored as well by its association with Coach Teaff. Support Coach Teaff by coming on the 28th!
BAYLOR REGENT JAY ALLISON RUNNING WILD Former BU football great, oil company CEO, and Regent Jay Allison turned a 155-mile ultra marathon in Costa Rica into a 170-mile trek last month. Confusion by race officials lead to the additional mileage which Jay traversed nonetheless. Jay has a reputation for toughness extending back to his playing days on Coach Teaff’s ’74 SWC conference championship. Obviously, memories of competition are insufficient for this hard charger. Congrats and Sic’em Jay!
BAYLOR LAW SCHOOL POSTS BIG NUMBERS The ’05-‘06 first year class of 70 students at Baylor Law School was chosen from a record pool of 2,430 applicants. Not surprisingly, the academic credentials of the class were record setters as well. Princeton Review ranked BU Law School #1 among 117 law schools in the “most competitive students” category. U.S. News and World Report ranked our advocacy program #6 in the nation. Once again Baylor won the National Championship mock trial competition this past year. Congrats to Dean Brad Toben and all the outstanding faculty of the law school.
