Countdown to Kick-Off September 3rd, 4:30 pm

Floyd Casey StadiumThe Baylor Nation is all abuzz about the impending football season.  Coach Guy Morriss lit up a SRO crowd of 500 last week in Dallas with some impressive prognostications.  His players are not willing to settle for a “respectable season” and want much more.  Further, heightening interest amongst the faithful, is the prematurely loaded 2007 recruiting class.  That’s right, we have 25 oral commitments for next year and they are good!  (Click below to read the article.)  Included in the class are the sons of Baylor greats Gary Joe Kinne and Vann McElroy.  Houston area fans can hear more by attending the Coach Morriss event on August 22 at 11:30 am at the Hilton Post Oak.

Giant Baylor Hearts and a Gentle Giant

A big “Sic’Em” to Hewlett Packard CEO Mark Hurd and his wife Paula, Mike and Kim Singletary, Fred Miller, Jay Allison and the fabulous Dorr brothers - Phil and Kurt for making the dreams of Igor Laden come true.  Igor is a young man who suffers from a deadly growth problem that the pictures enclosed illustrate.  The Dorr brothers arranged for Igor to attend a San Francisco 49ers/Chicago Bears game as well as visit practice where Baylor greats Mike Singletary and Fred Miller introduced Igor to the players.  The Hurds graciously hosted an event for Igor at their home in the Bay area.  This is the Baylor family at its best.
