CONGRATS TO BAYLOR “MOAS” TEAM For the eighth straight year, the Baylor Model Organization of American States (MOAS) Team dominated a MOAS simulation sponsored by the World Affairs Council of San Antonio, Texas. Twenty universities, including five from Mexico, represented countries in the Organization of American States (OAS). Students worked on issues of concern to the hemisphere as varied as Free Trade, hemispheric security, development, and the post-Castro transition in Cuba.
CONGRATS TO ENGINEERING STUDENT ERIC GREEN Baylor University engineering student Eric Green, a senior from Sugar Land, has been selected as one of the top five senior engineering students in the United States by the national electrical and computer engineering honor society, Eta Kappa Nu. Dr. Jim Farison, professor and chair of the department of electrical engineering, said Green had made significant contributions to the department, as well as to Baylor’s chapter of Eta Kappa Nu. “He has been an outstanding student in electrical engineering, already a demanding program, but he has also incorporated both the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core (BIC) and the University Honors program.” Sic’em Eric!
