Subject: Friends of Baylor: UPDATE November 12, 2004

GIVE IT A REST COACH DREW!

Well, obviously, “once a week” is not sufficient to handle all of Baylor’s good news of late. Having just reported on a timely basis the great story on basketball recruiting, we find ourselves now having to amend the article because Coach Drew went out and got another recruit. So instead of having a top 20 nationally ranked class, we now have to confess it has become a top 10 nationally ranked class.

The new Baylor star is 6’10” Jari Vanttaja of Finland. Jari is a member of his country’s junior national team and would be considered a U.S. national top 50 player if he was playing in the U.S.A. The addition of Jari may well make this the best recruiting class Baylor has ever had. To quote ardent Bear fan, Don Kimball, “What is going on here”?

Coach Drew, you are amazing, but keeping up with you with a volunteer press corps is very difficult.
