“On behalf of the thousands of members of Friends of Baylor I
want to first and foremost thank President Robert Sloan for his incredible
contributions to Baylor University over the past 10 years. Under his
leadership Baylor has improved its academic standing, upgraded the campus
infrastructure, increased enrollment, expanded the faculty and doubled
the endowment. Perhaps his greatest legacy will be the implementation
of the University’s vision for the future -- Baylor 2012. All
of this was accomplished while maintaining a clear Christian identity
for
the University.”
“The entire Baylor family is blessed to have Dr. Sloan as Chancellor
of the University and we look forward to his continued influence
and leadership. We also congratulate our Board of Regents, and particularly
its Chairman Will Davis, for their wisdom in these matters.”

Many of Baylor’s recent successes are due in large part to the
selfless efforts and commitment of volunteers. These volunteers are students,
Regents, fundraisers, event hosts, parents of students, organization
leaders, etc. Take time out this year to thank one of these givers and
if you didn’t have the chance to participate yourself in ’04
then give it a shot in ’05. Working to help Baylor is good for
the soul.
