LADY BEARS LIFT US
We could devote a whole issue on how wonderful the Lady Bears Basketball team has been and what they have contributed to our collective Baylor spirit. Making the Sweet 16, playing the preeminent women’s program, Tennessee, to a draw (unfortunately decided by the ref’s), and achieving a national top 15 ranking are just a small part of what Coach Kim and her ladies have accomplished. Even more significant is the manner with which they have represented Baylor and influenced national opinion about our University. In all of their press comments they have described their efforts as being driven by a love for Baylor instead of a pursuit of individual glory. The players as well as Coach Kim have used the national press spotlight to exemplify class, humbleness, intensity and character. Thank you Lady Bears and especially Senior Jessika Stratton who suffered so gracefully through two significant referee controversies this season. We are honored to be represented by you.

400 TEXAS MAYORS ENDORSE BAYLOR PROPOSAL FOR BUSH LIBRARY
The number of Texas mayors endorsing Baylor University’s proposal for the George W. Bush Presidential Library has grown to 400. Last October, 100 Central Texas mayors endorsed Baylor’s bid for the library. “Baylor’s central location and proximity to the President’s home in Crawford make the university an ideal location for the Bush library,” said Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr. “Mayors from Texarkana to Del Rio are helping us make our case in a very compelling way, and we greatly appreciate their support.”
