CHAMPIONS!!!

FOB NOT DOING ITS JOB!
Shame on Friends of Baylor for taking a week off in the aftermath of the Lady Bears National Championship victory. Founded as an organization dedicated to promoting Baylor and sharing good news about BU, especially when critics ruled the airwaves, we got stumped by the Lady Bears. How do you compete with wonderful, front page, national, all positive exposure for Baylor as was generated by Coach Kim and her charges? As further insult to us, we had contracted to produce billboards on I-35 in Waco celebrating the Lady Bears championship but were pre-empted by the generosity of Lamar Outdoor Advertising who put their own version up the day the team arrived home! Friends of Baylor leadership is currently evaluating potential executive changes in order to more effectively compete in this “good news” marketplace.

2005-2006 CLASS BEING TESTED FOR STEROIDS
Concern has been expressed over the “muscle” that appears to be developing with the size of the incoming freshman class. With over 15,000 applications, about 10,000 acceptances and over 3,000 gross deposits this class is looking huge!

HO HUM, WHICH SPRING SPORT WILL BE #1?
Debate has broken out amongst the Baylor family as to whether men’s tennis, women’s tennis, women’s softball, baseball, or track will deliver the next national championship to campus. All the above are ranked ± in the top 10 in the nation and are candidates to contend for championships. You can participate in the opinion poll by e-mailing support@friendsofbaylor.com as to your view on which team is most likely to win it all!!
