Baylor
football great and Canton HS Head Coach Gary Joe Kinne, who was shot
and severely wounded in April by a disgruntled parent, has beaten
the odds, making a miraculous recovery in just a few short months. He
returned to the football field yesterday to be with his team as they
began fall practice. Thank you for your prayers and support for Gary
and his family over the last few months.

Coach
Guy Morriss, along with players Daniel Sepulveda, Colin Allred and
Maurice Lane, represented the Bears this past week at the BIG XII
Media Day in Houston. Also, when Coach Morriss isn't busy on the field,
he is busy traveling the state speaking with Baylor fans about the upcoming
season. He addressed a huge crowd in Fort Worth yesterday and plans to
be in Dallas this Friday at the Westin-Galleria for the BU Coaches Luncheon
at 11:30am as well.

Two
of Baylor's newest basketball recruits, Kevin Rogers and Henry Dugat,
teamed up in the Global Games two weeks ago and shocked coaches
and scouts all across the nation. The pair truly dominated the tournament
and convinced
everyone that in just a short time Baylor's Basketball team will be a
force to be reckoned with! Rogers, a 6-9 power forward, and Dugat, a
versatile and speedy point guard with a smooth 3-point touch, are two
of the newest five member recruiting class for Baylor that is ranked
No. 7 nationally by Hoop Scoop, an online recruiting service.
