Canton HS Coach Gary Joe Kinne Recovers and Returns to Football Field

Baylor football great and Canton HS Head Coach Gary Joe Kinne, who was shot and severely wounded in April by a disgruntled parent, has beaten the odds, making a miraculous recovery in just a few short months. He returned to the football field yesterday to be with his team as they began fall practice. Thank you for your prayers and support for Gary and his family over the last few months.

Bears Take Part in BIG XII Media Day

Coach Guy Morriss, along with players Daniel Sepulveda, Colin Allred and Maurice Lane, represented the Bears this past week at the BIG XII Media Day in Houston. Also, when Coach Morriss isn't busy on the field, he is busy traveling the state speaking with Baylor fans about the upcoming season. He addressed a huge crowd in Fort Worth yesterday and plans to be in Dallas this Friday at the Westin-Galleria for the BU Coaches Luncheon at 11:30am as well.

Baylor Recruits Team Up in Win

Two of Baylor's newest basketball recruits, Kevin Rogers and Henry Dugat, teamed up in the Global Games two weeks ago and shocked coaches and scouts all across the nation. The pair truly dominated the tournament and convinced everyone that in just a short time Baylor's Basketball team will be a force to be reckoned with! Rogers, a 6-9 power forward, and Dugat, a versatile and speedy point guard with a smooth 3-point touch, are two of the newest five member recruiting class for Baylor that is ranked No. 7 nationally by Hoop Scoop, an online recruiting service.

Mayborn Museum Opens George W. Bush Photo Exhibit

Baylor University, in conjunction with the Mayborn Museum Complex and The Waco Tribune-Herald, will host an exhibition featuring photographs of President George W. Bush during his visits to Central Texas. "Presidential Retreat: Images of George W. Bush at Baylor, Waco and Crawford" will be open from Aug. 5 through Sept. 30 at the Mayborn Museum, located at 1300 S. University Parks Dr. on the Baylor campus.
