REVENGE OF THE BEARS! BAYLOR 37 UNT 14 The Fightin’ Baylor Bears did just that, fight and fight hard in reversing the whipping that UNT gave us last year. The running backs ran hard for yardage, the receivers made spectacular catches, the quarterback, Dane King, made outstanding throws, the defense stuffed a potent UNT offense and the special teams group may have played the best of them all – booming punts, three field goals, a blocked punt for a touchdown, exciting kick returns, and a bone jarring tackle by our punter, Daniel Sepulveda, that would make anybody’s highlight film. This looked like real Baylor football and the 33,500 fans in the stadium for Parents Weekend loved it. The great effort by the team was clearly recognizable by all in attendance and the collective “hope meter” of the fans shot straight northward. We are not totally “back” to where we once were, but this sure looked like a pre-view of the show. Congrats to Coach Morriss, his staff, and all the players – and thanks for the fun!

PARENTS WEEKEND A BIG SUCCESS Thousands of parents and students attended the Parent-Faculty Coffee this past weekend as well as the luncheon held at the Ferrell Center thereafter. Dr. Sloan delivered a rousing speech that culminated in a standing ovation from the parents. Parents Weekend is a great tradition at Baylor and this current group of parents are particularly enthusiastic about the product being delivered to their families.
WELCOME NEW FOB MEMBERS Two outstanding physicians, Dr. Mark Fulmer and Dr. Dan Nale, are FOB’s featured new members this week. Dr. Fulmer is head of the radiology group at Baylor Medical and Dr. Nale was named by D Magazine as one of the outstanding Pediatricians in the Metroplex. Baylor has a great history of producing outstanding medical professionals. FOB is proud to welcome both of these great doctors.
