Re:      Friends of Baylor

We write inviting you to join us in a new organization enabling members of the Baylor family wishing to express support for our great University to communicate this support publicly.

Friends of Baylor is in the final stages of becoming a 501(c)(3) organization established to educate alumni, media and the public about the mission and role of Baylor, and to serve as a grass-roots movement supporting the Board of Regents and administration during the difficult challenges we now encounter.

We are Friends of Baylor University.  Not administration, not staff, not regents but a group of people from a variety of backgrounds who share a genuine love for the University and a commitment to its mission. 

Our efforts are Grassroots and include a membership ranging from generous benefactors who contribute major financial support to current students and every level in between.

This is a Movement which will continue for the foreseeable future and until we are able to communicate our message in an effective manner.

Finally, Friends of Baylor is committed to expressing Public Support for the University, its mission and goals, and we wish to be vocal and visible in this expression.

As one who has evidenced your love for Baylor over the years, would you consider joining our movement and helping us communicate our message?  There is no cost to join, though we will be raising funds to conitnue our communications process.

We would be pleased include your name as a member of our movement.  We will keep you apprised of the various issues and developments resulting from our mission periodically.  If needed, you may be asked to write a letter, make a phone call or otherwise make a contact to help spread the word and educate the decision makers..
